The Drawing and Painting classes have been patient all year for their chance to complete a series of abstract paintings. The work was assessed based on the consideration of the following:
Composition – Balance, Focal Point, How does the eye travel?
Color – Color saturation, color balance, color schemes, paint application (thick vs.diluted
Creativity – Mark making tools – brushes, pencils, knife, make your own, splatter, sponge, finger, drip Surface texture – canvas, illustration board, newspaper, paper bag, cardboard
Mood / Message – What mood is being conveyed?
Craftsmanship/Effort – Application of Elements of Art and Principles of Design and can explain, Maintain clean working area / Cleaned up 100% / Maintained clean studio and Engaged in 8 Studio Habits of Mind while in Studio
