NRHS at the Essex Art Center’s 2nd Annual Teen Portrait Exhibit

I am extremely proud of the eight students who submitted work into the Essex Art Center’s 2nd Annual Teen Portrait Exhibit. The reception on Friday night was attended by some of the artists and their families. North Reading High School was well-represented with portraits and self-portraits that convey a strong dedication and impressive focus on such a challenging subject matter. Any misplaced mark can throw off a portrait and it is clear that all of the work help portray the individual in a variety of emotions and subtleties.

Miss the reception? The exhibit is open through April 13th.  Here’s a glimpse of the show.

Laura Wagner (top) and Kenzie Iriana (bottom) went from the Congressional Art Show to showing at Essex Art Center. Not too shabby!

Francesca D. put in the extra effort and it shows.
