Just around the corner students will be transitioning from working on 10x scaled model construction to embarking on small, detailed scratchboard portraits. They will be instructed to conduct research on a mythical god or goddess of their choice. By using resources such as http://www.godchecker.com/, they will learn many interesting traits about gods and goddesses. After finding one that is interesting in both story and appearance, students will gather images to use as visual guides for a scratchboard portrait.
