It has been a great start to the 2014-2015 school year. The new art rooms are already starting to feel like home. It has been awesome to see how excited students are about the new space, even people who don’t have any art classes this year share in the excitement of the new possibilities the space represents.

I’d like to offer a special “thank you” to fellow art teachers Mr. Kunze and Mrs. Atsalis for helping me ease into the new space so well. The three of us worked very hard to get the art space ready the week before school started.

The entrance into one of the art rooms didn’t look too inviting a week before school started.

My two sections of Foundations of Art, one section of Drawing and Painting and another of Anatomy and Figure Drawing are becoming accustomed to working in a true art space. The space offers great storage for supplies and spacial flexibility, making it easier to accommodate for the many art mediums that will be used throughout the year.

Thank you for stopping by. Parents, I hope to see you at the Parent Open House, September 21st at 6:30pm. The art rooms are the 2nd and 3rd doors on the right as you enter Main Street in the building.
